This includes the ability to describe the Genesys Voice Platform architecture and to provide an
overview of what the GVP platform can do.

• Overview of GVP architecture
• Overview of GVP network architecture
• Functions of the Element Management Provisioning System (EMPS)
• Describe the functions of the Voice Communication Server (VCS) and IP Communication Server (IPCS)  
• Describe High Availability
• Overview of how Genesys uses VXML and which VoiceXML specification version is supported

 

This includes the ability to explain single-tenancy as well as multi-tenancy deployment
requirements and also includes the ability to consider CIM/Routing and Outbound Integration
features when deploying GVP.

• List the items to consider when determining a GVP deployment
• Describe GVP deployment options
• Identify specifics to meet sizing and architecture considerations
• Explain what caching is used for and what is cached
• Overview of CIM, Routing and Outbound integration as it pertains to deployment planning
• VCS component behavior with in-front and behind switch configurations

GVP Reporting includes the ability to provide an overview of the GVP reporting options available for GVP.

GVP Log Analysis includes understanding GVP internal logging and how to read GVP logs.

GVP Monitoring and troubleshooting techniques include the knowledge and skillsets that
demonstrate the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems with Genesys components in production. This differs from "Installation validation" in that it may show the deeper and/or broader understanding of Genesys that comes with working with the product six months or more.
